This tire thumper is an 11.5 inch single handed cudgel with an oversized banded steel head secured with a copper rivet. The Bloodstained oak handle allows for multiple grip options.
This is a club, or a cudgel, bludgeon, mace, billy club, or nightstick. Truckers call it a Thumper, and use it to check air pressure in truck tires. By striking the tire, the felt reverberation and audio feed back quickly tells a driver whether the tire is good to go, or if it requires further attention.
Thumpers are considered by the U.S. Department of Transportation to be an automotive maintenance tool, not a weapon. Due to restrictive federal and state regulation on Commercial drivers carrying weapons, a mace or club is the weapon of necessity for a majority of law abiding truck drivers nationwide. If the best weapon you can legally carry is a tire thump, then you should carry one that says you mean business.
